Kochelsee (lake) from its best side
Schlehdorf on Kochelsee
Lush meadows, undulating mountains, a unique landscape conservation area and fascinating Kochelsee (lake) – Schlehdorf has a lot to offer.
Experience nature pure
A surfeit of nature is what makes Schlehdorft so attractive, guaranteeing pure recuperation. Hiking, cycling, swimming or just romping in the meadow with the kids … do what your heart desires. And during the colder months, the magical winter wonderland will cast its spell on you.
How about some art and culture?
The mighty twin towers of the Schlehdorf convent and St. Tertulin parish church define the appearance of our village – first mentioned in records in the year 763 – even from afar. The Bauernhofmuseum farm museum on the Glentleiten brings the past to life, and the Schlehdorfer Orgelherbst festival attracts numerous visitors in the fall. Water jousting (Fischerstechen), lakeside festivals with brass band music and our summer program for children round out the events.
An inside tip!
Our central location is unbeatable. Numerous attractions such as Schloß Neuschwanstein castle, Schloß Linderhof castle, Munich, Mittenwald and Garmisch-Partenkirchen are easy to reach by car.
