A place of wellbeing

Halfway between Bad Tölz and Lenggries, you are welcomed by one of the most magnificent views over the Isartal valley to the imposing Karwendel mountains.

Enjoy nature & leisure
Healthy air, clear spring water, introspective walks and well-groomed mountain trails guarantee pure recuperation.
The “Traten” – a wetland and hedge landscape protected as a natural monument – the “Filzen” – a peat bog of glacial origins – the emerald green Isar river, the Gaißach and Steinbach mountain streams as well as picturesque farms are gems of our rural community.
In and around Gaißach the mountains, lakes, fauna and flora invite you to enjoy your leisure time according to your own desires at any time of the year.
Experience tradition & culture
St. Michael parish church, the oldest original baptistery in Isarwinkel, has stood at a striking height since the 15th century. Attractions include the baroque high altar, the “Heilige Grab” holy grave on Easter and the “Gaißacher Krippe” nativity scene at Christmas. On Corpus Christi and Michaelmas, the Gebirgsschützen and Schalkfrauen associations put on an impressive show in their traditional costumes.
The Gaißach Musikkapelle band and numerous folk music groups maintain and play traditional songs. Many rarities await discovery in the fields of painting and literature.
The daring Hornschlitten horn sled rides of the “Schnablerrennen” race during the carnival are truly spectacular.
Gaißach, where I feel at home!
If we have whet your appetite for Gaißach, you are in good hands with our hosts. Along with regional specialties and hearty delicacies, they recommend something that is sure to suit any guest: total wellbeing.
