Welcome to Egling

When you are looking for “more” rest and recuperation, it is not always the number of options that counts!

Egling with its quiet hamlets and homey villages is an inside tip for vacationers seeking peace and quiet. In dialog with nature, one hikes or bicycles through marsh landscapes and nature conservation areas, encountering numerous churches and chapels along the way – places of quiet reflection and jewels for art lovers in one. The Keltenschanzen square ditched enclosures are reminiscent of myths from times long past, turning every hike into a magical journey of discovery.
The community is largely defined by agriculture. Forests, meadows, marshes, straw meadows, small lakes and brooks give the landscape a unique appeal. Popular destinations among locals and vacationers from the region are the “Pupplinger Au” nature conservation area with its rare flowers and plants as well as numerous ponds in the area.
Hiking trails lead through the “Pupplinger Au” as well as the “Eglinger Filze – Mooshamer Weiher” landscape conservation area. An expansive network of bike trails offers a rich choice for sport cyclists and true biking individualists. Attractions include Schloss Harmating castle, the Keltenschanzen square ditched enclosures in the Deining, Neufahrn and Endlhausen districts, and many ancient churches.
