A village in harmony with nature
Dietramszell – far off the well-known vacation routes – has a lot to offer for guests who prefer a gentler form of tourism.
Located between Munich and Bad Tölz, Dietramszell in the midst of the alpine foothills and moraine landscape is bordered by the fast-flowing Isar river to the west. The community includes 60 districts and hamlets scattered over an area of 96.78 km² with a population of 5,254 (as of 31 December 2004).
Picturesque villages, Dietramszell monastery and other beautiful churches, grand farms, architectural monuments that are well worth a visit, marsh landscapes, meadows and forests transform walks, hikes and bike tours through the surrounding areas into diverting experiences – often with expansive views of the Isartal valley and mountains.
Diverse cultural offerings, numerous accommodations and eating establishments and a multitude of festivals provide sensual and culinary pleasures.
